On October 13, 1986, born Stanley R. Johnson Jr., out of the Eastern Shore MD, he emerged into the rapper you see before you known as SPLITZ. Moving from Denton MD, to Immokalee FL, back to San Domingo MD, he graduated high school and went on to joined the army at age 18. Not only is he a producer/artist/mixing engineer, he is also a soldier, a father, as well as a poet. When his thoughts are set to calibrate his musical talent, all various shades and sides of any type of emotion goes to the minds of the listeners live and in color. His ability to bring his utmost inner feelings to light and to produce metaphors and musical masterpieces has drawn his music in comparisons to colossally greatness. The San Domingo MD native has spent the past decade building a life into words what he calls musical therapy. Words into verses, where bringing his thoughts and feelings to a poetic level where everyone is able to comprehend and internalize his life. Not bound by constraints of categories such as pop, gangsta, bling-bling, or trendy, his style comes in a variety of forms, on various topics, set to an array of beats, rhythms, and tempos. Taking his gift, and adding an enormous work ethic and multiplied his pure hunger to create nothing short of a musical genius. Musically, he is influenced by a variety of legends in the music business, some of them include Tupac, Young Jeezy, T.I, Ludacris, and 50 cent, just to name a few.
Personally, my personal relationships with people, struggles, setbacks, disappointments, military deployments, world events, and my best and worst of times help influence my development as an artist. There is a lot of responsibility as an artist because the minute that happens you become a role model to someone whether you know it or not and there are people out there who really look up to you and your decisions, so you always have to make sure that your not so selfish in a way that can hurt your fans. You are given an opportunity to be something great, either you can help change history or you can be the average person who just stays in there safe haven because its comfortable and not speak out for those who can’t speak out.
